FAQs
How does it work?
Once you have completed your free online assessment, we review your answers to see if HRT is right for you. If it is and you want to try HRT, your medication will be posted to your address and delivered within five business days. Your first prescription is always for three months and we will invite you to a three-month review to see how it’s going.
You can still download the Stella app if HRT is not right for you, or you choose not to go ahead with treatment. The app offers you a personalised plan with the lifestyle changes that research has shown to be most effective for your specific symptoms. This includes sleep issues, mood changes, weight gain, hot flushes and sweats, brain fog, bladder problems and low libido, plus much more.
How do I get testosterone?
- We will email you about our testosterone service once you have completed your assessment
- Reply to the email to tell us you are interested and we will confirm if testosterone is right for you
- You book a call with one of our care coordinators to discuss your testosterone treatment
- We will send you a diagnostic kit by post so you can complete a fingerprint blood test at home
- Our team will book you an online doctor’s appointment to discuss your results, treatment plan and prescription
- Your testosterone will be delivered to your address within five business days
You need to be taking HRT with stabilised treatment to be eligible for testosterone. If you get your HRT from the NHS you can still get testosterone from us.
What testosterone is available?
We will explain the different types of testosterone available during your consultation and you can choose what suits you best. We prescribe Tostran, Testogel, Testim and Androfeme.
How much does it cost?
Our testosterone service costs £200 per quarter. This includes your diagnostic kit & postage, doctor’s appointment, medication and delivery. This will be displayed as two payments:
- £65 for testosterone
- £135 for your consultation and plan
Can I get testosterone with you if I get HRT through the NHS?
Yes, you can get testosterone with us. Our testosterone service costs £200 per quarter.
Can I speak to a doctor?
Yes, the plan includes talking to one of our doctors for a 20-minute online appointment every three months. If you have questions at any time, you can message one of our care coordinators at hello@onstella.com.
How qualified are your doctors?
Our doctors are general practitioners (GPs), gynaecologists or doctors with experience and additional training in women’s health.
How do I get more medication?
Your prescription is for three months. We’ll email you before your prescription runs out and we will book a follow-up consultation. If your treatment is easing your symptoms, we will renew your prescription for another three months. If there are any issues, we will work with you on a new plan.
